South Crest Trail
Sandia Mountain Wilderness

A Walk On The Wild Side!

The Sandia Mountains grace the skyline  from nearly any point in Albuquerque.  The 37,000-acre wilderness area within the Cibola National Forest provides miles of great hiking trails for anyone willing to venture into its beauty.  Richard Johnson and Mike Kruchoski hiked the South Crest trail over the Fourth of July weekend.  Here are few photos from their trek and a few tips for enjoying the experience yourself!
